1982 Beyer Rattrapante "Oversize" 18k Yellow Gold
€25.900
An extremely rare 1982 Beyer Rattrapante in 18k yellow gold with an outstanding golden dial with painted black indexes and matching hands. Beyer is the oldest continuous running watch boutique in the world. Nestled in the centre of Zürich, and now in the hands of the 8th generation of the family, they have become arguably the most respected store in the watch world. This 1982 example is in a league of its own, being the product of the minds behind Beyer, as can be deduced not only from the fact that they formed part of the personal collection of Theodor Beyer, but also in the choice of complications and the classical design. Only a handful of these have ever been produced and the first time it fetched 16.000 CHF in 2003! Wow 20 years ago already. The auction was being held in Zürich, as part of a 170 lot strong collection that fetched a grand total of 5,5 million Swiss francs to ensure the continuous operation of the Museum (Copyright @amsterdamvintagewatches). The watch is in excellent condition showing light signs of age and or scratches. All watches are checked by our watchmaker and guaranteed 3 months, 1 year if serviced.
